When should I make my booking?As soon as you are sure which dates you wish to travel, it is advised to make your reservation. During traditionally busy periods (Christmas, Carnival, Easter, Summer), we recommend you book as early as possible. To obtain the lowest airfare, travel must be booked within 14 days or more in advance. Some destinations such as the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South American, no advance purchase is required.

How many destinations can I quote?Clients can only request a quote for 3 destinations. After that there is a $5 charge per extra destination.

How long is my quote good for?Your quote is only good at the time that we provide it to you. We cannot guaranteed you that your rate will stay the same without a full deposit of the trip. Flights, Hotels and Homes rates change daily.

Do I need to list my Full name on the application?Yes, we will need your full name please make sure it matches your ID or Passport.

Can I change the persons name on a reservation?Yes, there will be a small fee of $15.00 USD if the booking has already been made with no flight. If the flight has been made, we cannot change the name on a flight ticket.

Does the airline allow name changes on airline tickets?Name changes are not allowed under any circumstance. Once the ticket is issued, the name cannot be changed.

Can I travel with a one-way ticket to any country?If you are not a citizen of that country, you cannot travel with a one way ticket. You are required to purchase a round-trip ticket.

How do I change my flights?When allowed, airlines require that we collect a fee for the exchange plus any difference in fare when necessary. Exchange fees can be as little as $125 USD and go as high as $350 USD. We can inform you of the price once you contact us.

How much does it cost for additional destination quotes once the maximum has been reached?There is a small fee of $5 for an additional three (3) more destinations.

What types of documents are required to travel?For a domestic flight, a government ID is required at check-in. For international flights , a passport is required, in addition to, a visa depending on the destination. Please be advised to check if you need a visa for your destination before booking travel. Our agents are not responsible for information regarding visa or passport requirements.

How do I find out about the visa requirements for the trip I am interested in?While we do include information in our Trip Notes about visa requirements, we always recommend that passengers check with their local embassy as visa rules can change without warning. Embassy websites in your home country will always have information about requirements, visa costs and will provide the required forms.

How do I organize my Visa?Please contact your local embassy to organize your visa(s).

Do you help with Visas?Mention Getaways does not assist in the actual application of visas. Assistance with visas can be through your designated embassy.

When is a payment considered late?You will receive your payment deadline via your travel agent. Payments are due on either the 15th, 20th or 30th. Clients are given a 2-day grace period, after your grace period, a $20 late fee will be assessed to their account.

Do I have to pay in full straight away?This depends, some special offers require payment to be made at the time of booking. Some other fares could be paid a few days after the reservation is done. Travel Tip - Pay early. We will issue the ticket early so that you may avoid possible fare increases. Is my airline ticket refundable? Most of the tickets are non-refundable. Unless you purchase an unrestricted airline ticket or insurance through the airline.

When can I expect my refund?When a reservation is cancelled the same day it was booked, funds for the Airline portion are not collected. Any pending charges you may see are a "pending hold" for verification. These funds will return to your available credit and will not reflect as a refund. This process normally takes from 3 - 7 business days, depending on your banking institutions procedures. Any refunds requested after 48-hours of purchase are based solely upon the Airline(s) rules. If approved, the refund will generally take 1-2 billing statement cycles. In some exceptional cases, refunds may take longer than originally anticipated. An email update will be sent to you advising of any delay.

How will I receive my refund?All refunds are sent back to the client via the same payment method, unless otherwise notified.

Could senior citizens obtain discounts?Yes, Mention Getaways offers Senior Discounts.

Can I purchase insurance for my trip?Yes, you are allowed to purchase insurance for your trip. We offer different companies such as Funjet Vacations. Allianz or AIG Travel Guard. Which insurance policy should I get if I decide to go with AIG Travel Guard or Allianz?Policies vary depending on how much coverage you need. As long as a storm has not been identified yet or any other preexisting conditions, you can purchase the insurance up until 14 days before the date of departure.
